How it all fits together
Lead Capture vs. Lead Qualification
Rexpt doesn't just take messages. It captures the right information and helps you understand what each caller needs.
Lead Qualification
Lead qualification collects the additional information your business needs to understand fit, urgency, or the appropriate next step.
Rexpt can handle both within the same inbound call based on the workflow you configure.
Why it matters
Why Inbound Leads Get Lost Before Follow-Up
Inbound callers often contact a business because they need an answer, service, appointment, or next step. When nobody responds, urgent or high-intent callers may contact another provider before your team has time to return the call.
Some callers will not wait for a callback
When a call goes unanswered, some callers leave a message while others continue looking for another provider. The risk is higher when the enquiry is urgent or time-sensitive.
Delayed follow-up can reduce your opportunity to respond
A voicemail still requires someone to review the message, understand what the caller needs, and call them back. A structured intake workflow can capture useful information during the original call instead.
Manual qualification creates extra work
Without consistent intake, teams may need to call leads back just to collect basic details such as service need, location, urgency, or preferred timing. Structured qualification helps make that information available earlier in the workflow.

Common questions
Common Questions About AI Lead Capture and Qualification
LEAD CAPTURE
What is AI lead qualification?
AI lead qualification uses an AI system to collect the information a business needs to understand an inbound enquiry and determine the appropriate next step. With an AI receptionist, this can happen during the phone conversation using the business's configured questions and call-handling rules.
What is the difference between lead capture and lead qualification?
Lead capture records who the caller is and why they contacted the business. Lead qualification goes further by collecting information such as service need, location, urgency, timing, or other criteria the business uses to decide what should happen next.
Can I choose the qualifying questions Rexpt asks?
You can configure the information Rexpt should collect based on your business workflow. The exact questions and call behavior should reflect the qualification criteria you want the agent to follow.
Where do the captured leads go?
Captured lead information can be stored in Rexpt's CRM or passed into supported follow-up workflows such as email notifications, call transfer, or connected integrations. Availability depends on your plan and configuration.
What happens to a lead that does not qualify?
If a caller does not meet your qualification criteria, Rexpt can still capture the interaction and follow the next-step workflow you configure, such as logging the enquiry or routing it for manual review.
Can Rexpt transfer a qualified lead to a real person?
Yes. Rexpt supports call-transfer and escalation rules. When a configured transfer condition is met, the call can be routed to a human instead of waiting for later follow-up.
